Hearing loss should not be made harder by a lack of access to care. For patients who find travelling to a clinic difficult — whether due to mobility, illness, caring responsibilities, or age — we offer fully-equipped home visits across our catchment area.

A full clinical service at home

Our home visit service is not a reduced version of clinic care. We bring calibrated portable audiometry equipment, an otoscope, microsuction equipment for wax removal, and all the tools needed to service, adjust, or reprogram hearing aids — the same service you would receive in our clinics, delivered to your living room.

Home visits are ideal for elderly patients who find travel uncomfortable or stressful, individuals with mobility impairments, patients recovering from illness or surgery, and those in residential care settings. We also visit care homes by arrangement.

Emergency appointments

Hearing aid failure at a critical moment — before a family event, a hospital appointment, a job interview — is stressful. We maintain same-day and next-day emergency appointment slots for existing patients, both in-clinic and via home visit where needed.

Common emergency presentations include sudden hearing aid malfunction, sudden unilateral hearing loss (which warrants urgent assessment), impacted wax causing acute hearing loss, and hearing aids lost or damaged while a replacement is arranged.

Common questions

How far do you travel for home visits?

We cover a broad area across our catchment region. Please contact us with your location and we will confirm whether a home visit is available. There may be a travel supplement for visits beyond our standard radius.

Can a full hearing test be done at home?

Yes. We use calibrated portable audiometry equipment that produces clinically valid results. The results are entered directly into your patient record and can be used to support any hearing aid fitting or onward referral.

How quickly can you arrange an emergency appointment?

For existing patients we aim to offer a same-day or next-day appointment for genuine emergencies — either in-clinic or at home. Please call us directly rather than using the online booking form for urgent requests.
